Active Retirement Association the members of the local Active Retirement Association have now finalised dates for the Scottish trip which will take place from Monday, June 4th to Sunday, June 10th - based in Glasgow and touring to Edinburgh, Stirling Rosslyn, Loch Lomond, the Trossachs etc. Anyone interested is very welcome to join us - travel will be by luxury coach from Tubbercurry with tours on each day of the holiday and breakfast plus evening meal included. Total cost will be 640 euro - names and deposits of 50 euro per person should be given to any member of our Active Retirement group or ring 9185059 for booking and any further information.
Following the interest in our second book, The Way That It Was II, and with the encouragement and requests from many of our readers, it has now been decided to compile a final book in the series.. We would be very grateful for any ideas re subjects that should still be covered re life and history of this area in the 1900's - more concentration will be given to the 2nd half of the century this time, perhaps. Any ideas and photographs would be much appreciated and can be given to any of our members.
