Coolaney/Mullinabreena GAA Club is staging award winning author Shane Connaughton's highly acclaimed play 'The Pitch' in St. Brigid's Hall, Tubbercurry on Monday night January 23rd at 8.00pm. This play has the support and endorsement of the GAA at National level and it is being performed by a semi professional cast that includes All Ireland winning actor and former Leitrim footballer Seamus O'Rourke from Carrigallen. This will be the only staging in the South Sligo region as the nationwide run finishes this January. It is centred around Philly (played by Seamus O'Rourke) who has given his life to the club which is now proposing to sell the local playing field for development and he is very upset by this proposal. This play is compulsive viewing for GAA supporters and indeed for all who have an interest in seeing top quality drama. A night not to be missed! Tickets (€10) from 087 7981827 or Gillespies, Tubbercurry.
